This jig is ideal for cutting tubing, wire, and metal stock with a straight 90 degree cuts, or 15, 30, or 45 degree angle cuts. For best results, use a jeweler's saw with a three to four-inch throat and blades that are appropriately sized for the thickness of the tube you will be cutting. It is also recommended that you prop this jig against a bench pin or hold in a vice in order to achieve a steady and straight cut. Very simple to use, you lay the tubing stock across the V-slot channel. Then using the finger-held holder you clamp the piece down and saw. No longer spend your time trueing your ends with a file or sandpaper. This tool also has a removable adjustable end stop piece which allows you to make repeatable lengths of product. Nice quality steel and hardwood handle. Dimensions: Total length: 6 inches Top dimensions: 1.75 x 1 inch Suitable for use on tubing, wire, and stock from 1.5 to 8 mm (16 to 0 gauge). Stop piece extends to about 3 cm at most, longer cuts can be made with stop piece removed.
